I am German, live in Switzerland close to Zurich, and I am 50 years old. I would like to share my scale modelling projects and results with the discerning and interested reader.

When I was a boy, I started building scale models, mostly military vehicles and figures, but also cars and ships. Growing older, I then lost any interest in this hobby.

While founding a family and becoming even older, scale modelling found its way back into my life. It is now awakening sweet memories from my childhood, like the smell of turpentine or plastic cement.

I really like the high level of achievement visible in todays’ models, and find it also encouraging, inspiring and stimulating. Due to time constraints of every days’ life, my results are small in number, and it takes me a long time to finish any project.

But as most fellow modellers would agree upon: the real fun is the building, painting and weathering, the constant challenge to achieve a even better finish, so the output is not that important to me.
